Welcome to Victory Missionary Baptist!

Victory

The first service at Victory took place on July 4th, 2004.  We had a total of 18 in attendance with 6 families represented.  We have a great vision for the future.  We offer a loving family atmosphere with a passion for serving the Lord.

Our focus is on reaching the lost in our community and providing training in the word of God so that each member may be able to truly understand God's word and will for his/her lives.  Then together we can help make a difference not only in Seymour, but even to the uttermost parts of the world.

We are associated with the American Baptist Association (ABA) not to be confused with American Baptist Convention.  The ABA is made up of independent Baptist Churches who hold to the same doctrinal teachings working together to better carry out the great commission given to each true new testament Church.

Have You Been Born Again?

The Bible says in John 3:3"..Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Here is what you must do to be born again:

  1. You must understand that sin in your life has made you unworthy of Heaven and if you died in this condition you would spend eternity in Hell.   Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

  2. You must understand that Christ paid your sin debt on the cross and is offering you the gift of salvation.   Ephesians 2:8&9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."

  3. You must ask Christ to save you, believing that he is able to redeem you.  Romans 10: 9&10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
