Statement of Faith

Strings, Etc! offers programs for those families within our community committed to following Jesus Christ, and to nuturing and educating their children in the light of the Bible. It seeks to enrich the local community through its various performances at nursing homes, seniors' events and at its seasonal concerts.

We believe that Jesus Christ, God's only Son, is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Without His death and resurrection we are lost and dead in our sins. We understand Christian to be defined in the most basic way, by the Apostles' Creed. We understand the Bible to be the unfolding story of God's amazing grace.

We believe that God who is three in one (Father, Son, and Spirit) created this world perfectly, that Adam and Eve sinned against God and brought sin into this world, that God in His grace and mercy "did not turn His back on His creation, but turned His face toward it in love, and... set out on the long road of redemption to reclaim the lost as His people and the world as His Kingdom" (Our World Belongs to God), and that "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"(John 3:16 NIV).

We represent a variety of Christian denominations and theological traditions. In the midst of this diversity, we are committed to being an example of love and unity in the body of Christ through the power of His Spirit that the world might know that we are Christians and that God will be glorified in the good and pleasant way in which we live and work together.
