All Ontario Choir
The All Ontario Choir for Christian Home Educated Teens is organized by a Strings, Etc! committee of dedicated volunteers who work throughout the year for this one weekend at the beginning of May.
Begun in 2001, the AOC provides an opportunity for students from across the province to gather for a weekend of rehearsal, fellowship, and friendship. Friendships are renewed and begun, lives are challenged by group devotions, energy is burned off in creative and innovative games and activities, meals are shared, and the Friday night Coffee House gives students the opportunity to display a diversity of talents - some of which are chosen to be performed in the finale concert.
Young adult leaders (many of whom are alumni of Strings, Etc!) give energy and direction to sectionals, devotions, and activities, and serve as godly role models for the young people.
On Saturday, parents and friends are treated to an evening of choral works and representative features of the weekend.
AOC 2008 is being held on May 1 - 3 this year!
