My
Testimony

I want to
tell
this story to let people know God can perform miracles.
When I
was eight years old, September 16, 2001. I was at a friends
house across the street from mine. My friend asked me to get some
dolls. I was getting ready to cross the street and next thing I knew
everything was dark. I thought I was imagining things. I can still
remember what it felt like when I tried to get up and fell to the
ground. When I opened my eyes everything looked blurry and the boy was
standing against his car with his arms crossed and he looked angry. My
friend went to get my mom. I had road burn on my left elbow, my right
leg and my forehead.
I could
not feel in my legs, they were completely numb. I remember
telling my mom, "everything will be O.K.". On the ambulance everything
looked weird. When they gave me a shot I couldn't feel it, but I was
not scared, I had the peace of God on the inside of me. I could hear my
mom crying in the front seat. I kept on saying to her "its gonna be
O.K.".
There was
a big gash in my left knee and my ankle was cracked. At the
hospital I tried to fall asleep because I knew they were going to do
surgery. My younger brother had stitches on his forehead while he was
awake, I thought it would be the same for me. I lost one of my
earrings, I never found it. I was in this room and one of my Sunday
School teachers came in before surgery and gave me a stuffed lion, and
the doctors put a hospital band on it, and its still on today. When I
went into surgery they put this thing on and it smelled good. They told
me to count and I counted all the way to seventy-three and fell asleep
with my lion.
It felt
like only two minutes when I finally woke up, but it was four
hours until I woke up. I was in there for three days and was healed in
six weeks. They told my mom that I may have not been back on my
feet until January! But in November 2001 I was in physical therapy and
walked by myself and right to my mother. From a wheelchair to a walker
to moving all on my own!
I may
still have the scar on my left knee and the little bit of road
burn on my right leg, but that never stops me from moving around or
telling the miracle of how God healed me to do what I do today.
