Matthew 24:14
And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.
There is much being said about the end of the age in this present time. There are many very anxious individuals who for one reason or another get very excited when they think that the anti-Christ is going to show up at the United Nations and declare himself. Many are preaching on the doom and gloom, the horrible catastrophic events that take place as though they are going to usher in the end of the world and usher us off the planet. Jesus however was not so quick to say that. No, he said that we as a body would preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God into this world for a witness and THEN the end will come. Brothers and sisters until we get our precious selves out of the Sunday rut we will not accomplish this. If we continue to remain "exit" minded without occupying till He does come we will slow the genuine work down by getting lazy (Matt. 24:45-49). We have to be active and busy building the Kingdom then and only then, when the fulness of the gentiles is brought in through the preaching of the Gospel, we the church will see the coming of Jesus to catch us away.
