Church Covenant

Having been led by the Holy Spirit to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the public confession of our faith, having been immersed in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. 

We shall endeavor with the help of the Holy Spirit: 

• To live together in Christian love, helping each other to grow spiritually.
• To remember each other in prayer, to share each other’s joys, to bear one another’s burdens and sorrows, and to aid each other in sickness and distress;
• To be faithful in our commitments, just in our relationships, exemplary in our conduct, and quick to forgive;
• To make prayer and Bible study a part of our daily living, seeking God’s help to enable us to do our daily tasks, to overcome temptations, and to live righteously;
• To encourage the growth of Christian faith in our children, and to teach them Christian living by instruction and example;
• To faithfully support the ministry of the church financially, as the Lord prospers, and to give the church a sacred priority over all institutions of human origin;
• To help win others to Christ, and to live to the glory of Him who has called us into His service.

 And, that when we remove from this place, we will, as soon as possible; unite with another church of like faith and order where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
