God's Day

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.-Revelations 21:5

One day, a hopeless man went to bed,
In a prison where he was doomed to stay
Until his death
The next day, a ring upon his hand,
The Pharaoh had made him the most
Powerful man in the land

For every day is God’s creation
And God makes everything new
The earth will shake
The dead will rise
The blind will see
And the sun will break through,
For God makes everything new

The army marched quietly
And was mocked
From their enemies on the wall of rock,
The next day,
They stepped over the fallen walls,
That had collapsed with a shout,
At the end of their silent route

For every day is God’s creation
And God makes everything new
The earth will shake
The dead will rise
The blind will see
And the sun will break through,
For God makes everything new

A poor shepherd boy,
The least of his father’s house,
Goes to bed on the roadside,
In the midst of his long journey
To bring food to his brothers,
Yet, upon the setting of the next day’s sun,
He’s the deliverer of his people,
Rich and full of glory and honor

For every day is God’s creation
And God makes everything new
The earth will shake
The dead will rise
The blind will see
And the sun will break through,
For God makes everything new

What has been is not what must be,
What is crooked can be straight,
What is wrong can be made right,
What is dark can become light,
For God can move in a day,
He can heal in an hour,
And he can save in a moment

For every day is God’s creation
And God makes everything new
The earth will shake
The dead will rise
The blind will see
And the sun will break through,
For God makes everything new

At an altar
In a church,
Or at a park,
A man goes down a sinner,
And comes up a saint,
He goes down with the burden of sins,
And arises forever free of their taint,
He can become something, he
Never was before,
A new creation

For every day is God’s creation
And God makes everything new
The earth will shake
The dead will rise
The blind will see
And the sun will break through,
For God makes everything new
